Today I woke up and on the news they said that we won, we won! No, we didn't win the World Cup and I doubt that will ever happen but Fado did, and yes, I cried. Tears of joy of course and on the news they played Amália Rodrigues and I shivered as I always do each time I listen to her. And of course, I've been listening to Fado all day because I'm sentimental like that (aren't all Portuguese like this?). So, this is my humble homage not only to this music genre but specially to Amália, the diva who gave our music, poems and culture its biggest wings to fly!

UNESCO declared Fado as World's Heritage today! \o/
